LASG PUBLIC AFFAIRS OFFICERS HAVE THE CAPACITY TO DELIVER SANWO-OLU ‘THEMES’ AGENDA – COMMISSIONER

The Lagos State Commissioner for Information & Strategy, Mr. Gbenga Omotoso, during his address at the seminar organised for Public Affairs Officers.

The Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Gbenga Omotoso has affirmed that the Public Affairs Officers in the employ of the Lagos State Government have the capacity to deliver the ‘THEMES’ Agenda of the present administration.

He made this assertion today at the monthly Seminar organised by the Public Affairs Department of the Ministry for professional development.

Omotoso said with his experience in the newsroom as Editor, he is impressed and optimistic that with the immense talent and knowledge of the Public Affairs Officers at the Ministry, accurate dissemination of government information will not be a challenge.

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information & Strategy, Mrs. Omobolanle Ogunmola, during her remark at the seminar organised for Public Affairs Officers.

He opined that with the Officers already well-positioned in all Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies, the developmental ‘THEMES’ Agenda of the present administration will be well projected towards a greater Lagos.

The Commissioner, thereafter, charged the Information Managers to put their wealth of experience to bear and ensure effective news dissemination to the public, adding that they should be proactive with new initiatives that will adequately enlighten and educate the good people of Lagos State about the policies and programmes of the government.

Omotoso further urged the Officers to work together as a team by embracing openness to one another as well as encourage professionalism for effective service delivery to Lagosians.

The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, who was also present at the Seminar, Mrs. Omobolanle Ogunmola advised the Officers to think outside the box in proffering solutions to challenges, urging the staffers to take advantage of the various online training courses to build their capacity in line with international best practices.
