BAMIGBETAN CALLS FOR PARTNERSHIP FROM NIPR

Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Kehinde Bamigbetan has applauded the efforts of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) for its role in building the capacity of practitioners and positioning them for effective reputation management of their brands.

Bamigbetan, who gave the commendation while receiving the Executive members of the Lagos State Chapter in his office, however, solicited greater support from the Institute in strengthening both the conventional and non-conventional platforms of social interaction to facilitate a more harmonious relationship and drive government’s engagement with Lagosians.

“Our strategy towards building an outstanding relationship with the people requires insightful approach; therefore the professionalism of this body is indelible in achieving that,” he said

He described NIPR as a major stakeholder and commended the body for its outstanding efforts in projecting the laudable programmes of the State government to the populace.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Lagos Chapter, Mr. Olusegun McMedal commended the State government for its all-inclusive model of governance, which, he noted, has indeed been impactful in all areas of development.

While assuring the State government of the body’s resolve to deepen citizens’ trust in governance by pursuing a seamless relationship, the Chairman disclosed that the Institute is relentless in absorbing officers in the Ministry through the ongoing regularization in order to consolidate the strong synergy that exists between both establishments.

In a similar development, the Commissioner has assured members of the Association of Voice-Over Artists of Nigeria that the government will continue to engage all professional associations to disseminate information to the Citizens.

He made the pledge while receiving members of the association and lauded the association for contributing to information management, through its potential of using trained voices to project messages in a manner that arrests attention.

Speaking on behalf of the Association, Mrs. Ngozi Ogbonna said the visit was to solicit partnership with the government, pointing out that the association is well positioned to dish out information using the talents of good voicing and in varied languages.
