Mrs Adeyinka `Sope Akinsemoyin – Malomo was born on 23rd April, 1967 to Deacon Adebiyi & Mrs. Florence Akinsemoyin of Amore-Olukokun Akinsemoyin Royal family of Lagos. (Both of blessed memory).

She attended Surulere Baptist School from 1973 to 1977, Government College Agege from 1978-1983 and University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife) from 1983 – 1987 where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Education and in 1990, she obtained a Masters degree in Educational Administration from the University of Lagos. She is also an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management and is Senior Professional Human Resource International (SPHRI) certified.

She had her National Youth Service from 1987 to 1988 in Oturkpo, Benue State. Thereafter, she joined the Lagos State Public Service in 1989 where she worked as Current Affairs Officer in the News Department of the erstwhile LTV8 (now Lagos Television) and also worked as a teacher of English language and Literature in English at Maryland Comprehensive Secondary School, Ikeja.

 She had a break in Service when she took up appointments in the finance sector. She worked in Finance and Securities companies, Savings & Loans companies and Afribank Nig.Plc (now Skye Bank) where she served in various senior managerial capacities in corporate banking  and managing financial portfolios of multinational organisations.

 On her Re -absorption into the State Civil Service, she was deployed to Public Service Office where she quickly understood the terrain and showcased her mettle for discipline, diligence, high sense of responsibility, hard work, creativity, adherence to good work ethics, and commitment to excellent service delivery.

She was nominated to serve as Secretary to various committees including the first committee set up to review the remuneration package of Board members of Commissions and Agencies in the Lagos State Public Service in Y2013. She also actively participated in the co-ordination of successful notable programmes such as Long Service Merit award, Public Service Week, Pens down Ceremonies for retired Permanent Secretaries et al.

Flowing from the above, she was subsequently assigned the responsibility of coordinating the Vacation Job initiative of the Government for over 5000 school Leavers drawn from the 20 Local Government and 37 Local Council Development Areas of the State in Year 2013; an assignment she handled seamlessly.

Having earned the confidence to be positioned for higher responsibilities, she was assigned the responsibility of heading the unit in charge of Induction, career management, discipline and all Service issues pertaining to over 1200 Administrative/HR Officers in the State Civil Service at the time; a responsibility she performed assiduously before her deployment in August, 2015 to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources to further vary her experience. 

At the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, vacuums were created as a result of higher appointments of the Directors of Administration in the Ministry at different times and she had to hold forth on the post from time to time. She has since worked in Lands Bureau as Head of Administration in Land Use & Allocation Committee (LUAC) and Office of the State Surveyor General as Director Admin. & Human Resource.

 In February 2019, she was deployed to Ministry of Information & Strategy and by September, 2019 was confirmed as Director, Admin. & Human Resource of the Ministry.

Mrs Adeyinka `Sope Akinsemoyin-Malomo has attended various courses both in the Private and Public sectors (Local and international) and is married with children.
